The Cabane de Moiry is an old traditional hut resting at 9200 feet with a spacious, warm, contemporary add-on highlighted by two full walls of floor-to-ceiling windows looking directly onto the Moiry Glacier… the most dramatic hut setting we have visited yet, and the facilities, service and food were just fantastic (not to mention the 4-person room we had all to ourselves). We had great dinner conversation with a young couple originally from California but teaching in Prague and South Korea the past several years, as well as our new friends Margaret and Ron from just outside Boston.
The glacier was so close we could almost touch it without leaving the dinner table, and Jason, we could imagine you sketching the whole thing in vivid detail… or climbing over it like many of the people who stayed in the cabane that night!
